as this was playing i would pause it to look up actual interviews. and the movie is done so well... so very very well. i hope that this won some awards.
this is about the interviews that Sir Davis Frost (a British comedian and talk show host) had with the former President Nixon shortly after his resignation and the scandal of Watergate.
there is i believe a set of nine hour long interviews, having been condensed down from the two hour interview that it originally was.
Nixon trully seemed to have full grasp of frost. taking charge of all questions he would ask and using the interview time to his full advantage- leaving little to no room for Frost to retaliate.
though i have to believe that Frost knew full well what he was doing in these interviews. maybe not monetarily but that was not his doing that was the sponsors idea who wanted nothing to do with him.
as i am one to love historically inclined movies this is one of the most brilliant things i have seen, especially of the more recent historical years. a lot of the ones that are based of more recent tend to be horribly biased and make me want to kill things.
the last one was on 9-11 and i had to walk out of the room while yelling at the others who were watching it.
if you dont usually fall asleep in movies then i recommend this. i only say that because the movies i love tend to knock people out. (master and commander for example)
